A native Texan who has lived in the Austin area for the last twenty years, I am a Texas A&M graduate with a BBA in Management.

I have earned the REALTOR Institute GRI designation awarded to only the top 19 percent of real estate professional nationwide who have made the commitment to provide a high level of professional services by securing a strong educational foundation including 90 hours of classroom training.

Designated a Master Certified Negotiation Expert, I am among the top 1 percent of agents who have successfully completed formal negotiation training offered by the Real Estate Negotiation Institute.

I am also a Seller Representative Specialist, the premier seller agency designation conferred by the SRS Council, recognizing real estate professionals who have completed special education in seller representation.

And I have completed the National Association of Realtors GREEN program, including 24 hours of classroom training in understanding what makes a property green, helping clients evaluate the cost/benefits of green building features and practices, distinguishing between industry rating and classification systems, listing and marketing green homes and buildings, discussing the financial grants and incentives available to homeowners, and helping consumers see a property’s green potential.

CASA Advocate Volunteer of Travis County since 2005

Imagine the experience of children who are removed from their homes because the people responsible for protecting them have not. These children find themselves in a world filled with social workers, lawyers, judges and courtrooms where life-altering decisions are made on their behalf.

A CASA volunteer is a court appointed, trained and committed adult who ensures that each child’s individual needs remain a priority in an over-burdened child welfare system. They get to know the child while also gathering information from the child’s family, teachers, doctors, care-givers and anyone else involved in the child’s life in order to make independent and informed recommendations to help the judge decide what’s best for the child. CASA volunteers come from every walk of life and share a commitment to improving children’s lives, a willingness to learn, and an open mind towards life experiences different from their own.

For children who’ve been abused or neglected, CASA means having a home instead of feeling lost, and being a priority instead of feeling invisible. For volunteers, CASA is a life-changing experience that makes our community a better place.

You do not need any special kind of education, experience or background to serve as a CASA volunteer. CASA will provide you with all the training and support you will need to serve as an effective advocate. CASA training consists of 10 3-hour classes plus 3 hours of courtroom observation. After completing the first class, “CASA 101: What it means to be a CASA volunteer,” you may take the remaining 9 classes in any order according to your schedule.

You must complete all training before you will be assigned to a child. Classes are offered at a variety of times and days to suit anyone’s schedule. From the moment we first met her, she worked tenaciously, first to get our listing, then to sell it. She listened to our needs and helped us price our home accordingly.
